About

Level B resembles an infinite neon mall from the 1980s. Important areas are called 'blocks' and are categorized by a letter or number system. These areas are all part of the 'Entity Exclusion Zone', a region of the level where entities have been eradicated by human settlers.

In this area you will find many stores spread out across the mall. These stores are littered with supplies and gear.

The stores themselves resemble shopping centers, restaurants, and clothing stores.

Each store has a small map of the surrounding area and where you are for easy navigation.

The further you stray from the central blocks, the more the mall deteriorates in quality. Notable examples include paint chipping, shattered glass displays, and misplaced equipment. If you venture far enough, you may find yourself surrounded by foliage, and run-down stores still flickering with neon light.

There are elevators scattered around the mall that will take you to the various floors of the mall.

It is now believed that the mall is infinitely tall, as well as infinitely wide. It's size has noticeably increased since cycle #199.

During cycle #199, this level was home to many factions in the Backrooms and was an important place where wanderers could resupply, settle, trade and work. When the levels shifted during cycle #200, this level became lost, relocating to an undocumented region of the backrooms. However, the resourceful settlers of this level managed to survive the wilderness years until our most recent cycle brought their level back within range of Level 0.

This level contains remnants of the formerly defunct U.N.C.B. which have now re-established themselves and continue to operate in co-operation with M.E.G.

Much of the M.E.G. archives of cycle #199 come from these surviving members of the U.N.C.B.

Survival Recommendations

Remember:

  • You may find yourself needing supplies for trade. It is suggested you bring almond water, food, and items that might be of value.

  • There are lots of valuable resources to be found on Level 14, including food, water, weaponry, and other basic survival necessities.

  • While traversing the mall, you might find doors labeled "Staff Only". These doors take you to the next level, or potentially a sub-level of Level B.

  • You can get around the level in security buggies that you can find near any escalator.

  • It is not recommended to enter a store outside of the 'Entity Exclusion Zone' as stores can contain entities and other potential dangers.

Communities

The Grand Mercantile Guild

The Grand Mercantile Guild were the original discoverers of this level back in Cycle #199. They were the first to set up a basic trading system and are the governing force of this level alongside the U.N.C.B.

The Grand Mercantile Guild push for a future where Level B is the main supply line to the Backrooms.

If you want to start trading in Level B, you must register with The Grand Mercantile Guild and get a product license to start a trade shop.

You can find the guild in Block A, where they will grant you the equipment needed to start trading and food supplies if needed.

You can also join the Scouting Division. They scope out near areas outside of the blocks, deeming whether they're worthy of expansion.
