About

Level 0.2 is a sub-level of Level 0.

As you approach an entrance to this level; you’ll notice the loud buzzing of the lights will become quieter, the carpet will become drier and the rooms will begin to appear as if they are under construction.

Level 0.2 is a remodeled version of Level 0 with major improvements such as dry red carpets, repainted white walls, functional wall outlets, and even the occasional bathroom.

Level 0.2 contains a series of rooms and corridors. Doors are common in this level and often lead to rooms with important supplies such as Almond Water. In different rooms, you will also find random furniture, clothes and other items.

Some areas of Level 0.2 have extensive structural damage and deterioration. Also some areas of Level 0.2 are hazardous.

Survival Recommendations

Though Level 0.2 contains no known entities, there are potential dangers presented by the level itself. Learn the signs of danger.

Remember:

  • Certain parts of this level have extensive structural damage and there is a risk of falling debris.

  • There are also certain rooms that begin to self destruct when you enter them. Often referred to as ‘Trap Rooms’, these areas are best avoided.

  • An indication that you’ve entered a ‘Trap Room’ is the lights may suddenly change color.

  • If you enter a trap room, leave as quickly as possible. This room will begin to collapse.

  • Some areas of Level 0.2 contain multi-colored lighting. In these areas people have reported intense paranoia and auditory hallucinations.

  • Every entrance to Level 0.2 is also an exit. There are several exits leading back to some part of Level 0.

Communities

There are no known communities or outposts in Level 0.2.

However, there is evidence of a mysterious group known as The Backrooms Remodeling Company, or B.R.C.

The B.R.C. was responsible for the creation of Level 0.2.

Level 0.2 was made as an attempt to remodel Level 0 into a more habitable zone.

Presently, no members of the B.R.C. remain within Level 0.2.

The History of Level 0.2

Cycle #198 (1987 - 1997)

There is no documentation of this sub-level from this time.

Cycle #199 (1997 - 2007)

It is assumed that the B.R.C. (the Backrooms Remodeling Company) was operational during this cycle, discretely remodeling part of Level 0 into the sub-level 'Remodeled Mess'.

There is no documentation of this sub-level from this time.

Cycle #200 (2007 - 2017)

During this cycle, Level 0.2 remained undiscovered and there were only rumors of its existence.

These rumors inspired a second attempt to remodel Level 0.

Level 0.22 was lost to the level shift of Cycle #201, relocated to an undocumented part of the Backrooms.

Documentation of this level can be found here:

https://backrooms.fandom.com/wiki/Level_0.22

Cycle #201 (2017 - 2027)

Level 0.2 was first discovered during this cycle.

During this time the level seemed to be much less stable, perhaps as a result of the level shift of Cycle #201.

An archive of the M.E.G. documentation of the time can be found here:

Cycle #202 (2027 - present)

The Level 0.22 of Cycle #200 has reemerged in this cycle, merging with the original Level 0.2 to some extent. Some features of Level 0.22 can now be found in Level 0.2.

Level 0.2 appears to have become much more stable in this cycle, with the areas that destroy themselves now being limited to small sections of the level.
